Study Pathways of 2021 Graduates

 

(I) Pathways of HKDSE Students

1. Admission to Local Universities

   ●   Latest situation regarding the admission of students to local universities via the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) :

 

Percentage of students being admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of HKU / CUHK / HKUST : 48%

Percentage of students being offered government-funded  bachelor’s degree programmes : 68%

 

   ●   Some of our outstanding students have been admitted to “competitive” programmes, including Medicine (Global Physician-Leadership Stream), Medicine, Dental Surgery, double degree programme of Bachelor of Business Administration (Law) and Bachelor of Laws, double degree programme of Bachelor of Social Sciences (Government and Laws) and Bachelor of Laws, Quantitative Finance, Global China Studies and Engineering with an Extended Major in Artificial Intelligence, etc

 

 

2. Admission to Other Prestigious Universities

   ●   A total of 5 students have been admitted to the 2021-22 bachelor’s degree programmes of Tsinghua University, Beijing University and University of Nottingham Ningbo China through the “Principal’s Nomination Scheme”.

   ●   Around 30 students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of prestigious overseas universities, including the Imperial College London, University College London, King’s College London, University of Manchester, University of Bristol, University of Leeds, University of Warwick, University of Birmingham, University of Nottingham, University of Exeter, University of Glasgow, University of Southampton, Cardiff University and Durham University in the United Kingdom, University of Toronto in Canada, Monash University in Australia, Tsinghua University, Beijing University and Sun Yat-sen University in the Mainland as well as the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, etc.

 

(II) Pathways of NCUK IFY Students

1. Admission to UK universities 

   ●   All the IFY students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of United Kingdom (UK) universities via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) of UK.

   ●   Around 60% of our IFY students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of Russell Group universities (with the universities being within the world-wide ranking of top 100), including the University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, University of Bristol, University of Leeds, University of Sheffield, University of Birmingham and Cardiff University, etc.

2. Admission to Other Prestigious Universities

   ●   Some students have made use of their IFY results to apply for universities outside the UK.  They have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of prestigious universities, including the University of Michigan in the USA, University of Alberta in Canada, University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of Queensland and Monash University under the Group of Eight Australian Universities as well as the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.

3. Programmes to which our IFY students have been admitted include occupational therapy, physiotherapy, business management, aerospace engineering and art & design, etc.

 

(三) Destination of 2021 Graduates

On the whole, around 82% students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of local / Mainland / overseas universities.  The percentage of students admitted to the bachelor’s degree, sub-degree or post-secondary programmes of local / Mainland / overseas universities or tertiary institutes is around 97%.
