Study Pathways of 2020 Graduates

 

(I) Pathways of HKDSE Students

1. Admission to Local Universities

  ● Latest situation regarding the admission of students to local universities via the
     Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) :

  ● Some of our outstanding students have been admitted to “competitive”
     programmes, including Medicine, Global Health and Development, Business
     Administration, Asset Management and Private Banking, Global Economics and
     Finance, Risk Management and Business Intelligence, Psychology and
     Architectural Studies, etc.

2. Admission to Other Prestigious Universities

  ● A total of 9 students have been admitted to the 2020-21 bachelor’s degree
     programmes of Beijing University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University and The
     University of Nottingham through the “Principal’s Nomination Scheme”.

  ● 10 students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of
     prestigious overseas universities, including the London School of Economics and
     Political Science, University College London, University of Manchester and
     University of Bristol in the United Kingdom as well as The University of British
     Columbia in Canada, etc.

 

(II) Pathways of NCUK IFY Students

1.  Admission to UK universities

  ● All the IFY students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of
     United Kingdom (UK) universities via the Universities and Colleges Admissions
     Service (UCAS) of UK.

  ● 69% of our IFY students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree
     programmes of Russell Group universities (with the universities being within the
     world-wide ranking of top 100), including the University of Edinburgh, University
     of Manchester, University of Bristol, University of Warwick, University of
     Sheffield and University of Birmingham, etc.

2. Admission to Other Prestigious Universities

  ● Some students have made use of their IFY results to apply for universities
     outside the UK.  They have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes
     of prestigious universities, including the University of Melbourne, University of
     New South Wales and University of Monash under the Group of Eight Australian
     Universities as well as the City University of Hong Kong.

3. Programmes to which our IFY students have been admitted include veterinary medicine, pharmacy, occupational therapy, diagnostic radiography, business management / finance, engineering, architecture and urban planning, etc.

 

(III) Destination of 2020 Graduates

  On the whole, around 80% students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree
  programmes of local / Mainland / overseas universities.  The percentage of
  students admitted to the bachelor’s degree, sub-degree or post-secondary
  programmes of local / Mainland / overseas universities or tertiary institutes is around
  97%.
