English for Academic Purposes Module
NCUK IFY features an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) module designed to give students who are not native English speakers the language and study skills required to succeed in a UK university. The EAP coursework is modelled on real university coursework and reading lists. For greater learning effectiveness, small class teaching is adopted so that students can receive more attention and support. Completing the EAP facilitates students in having a head start on their undergraduate degree in the UK.
The EAP module aims to improve students’ English language level and provide an acceptable English language qualification for entry to a UK university without the expense of an IELTS or TOEFL test.

NCUK IFY gives students access to Year One of around 4,000 UK degree programmes of a wide variety of academic disciplines, including business, engineering and science, etc. Typical areas of study for undergraduate degree programmes for various streams are illustrated here for reference.
